Description	Roy Halston Frowick (1932-1990) was known in the fashion world as Halston. Raised in Evansville, Indiana, he rose to fame after creating the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore for her husband, John F. Kennedy's, inauguration in 1961. By the 1970s Halston was best known for his simple and elegant sportswear, and evening gowns of fine fabrics. He pioneered the use of ultrasuede--this blue shirt dress from Neiman Marcus epitomizes his work.
